know how to remove the front license plate plastic mount from the body?

I don't think an 04 has that kind of mounting system -- the rivets were used in the 00-02 cars. On 03+ cars, I believe the plate mount is attached with two simple screws. Thats how my 03 and 06 plates were attached.

My '04 didn't have the front plate mount installed, but it did have one in a bag in the trunk, and it had rivets, not screws. The front plate mount on my '06 looks like it's bloody well riveted on. I still don't know why that jackass of a dealer in Lawton (from which my dealer obtained my '06) put the damned thing on--we don't have front plates in Oklahoma. Double damn jackass (or is that redundant when mentioning a dealer?). :mad: When I get around to it, I'm going to pull that stupid thing and plug the holes with body plugs painted to match. (Hey, I finally got around to color-matching my Sirius antenna, after six months or so... :D )

On my '01 I drilled out the rivets. I filled the holes with a couple of those crappy plastic 3-position fasteners that are used throughout the car.

My '04 is riveted on.
