JMod, springs?

Ok so I am going to do the J Mod next weekend on my car. Well technically it is done, I have a drilled seperator plate. My question is I will be installing new updated 1-2, 2-3 accumulators. Does anyone have any personal experience with installing just the upper 1-2 spring and no spring for the 2-3 accumulator? I do not mind a hard shift but I dont really want whiplash.

Thanks all

That's what I did and the firmness is significant, but not bad.

The firmness of the shift will also depend on the size of the holes you drill in the plate,
so I suggest you start with the smaller drill specs.

You can always put the springs in if the shift shock is too harsh, but once you drill the holes larger, you're stuck with it that way unless you're willing to buy a new valve body.

I don't know where to find separator plates on their own.

i drilled a combination of holes in the plate depending on what hole it was. i also went with 1 spring in 1-2 and no spring in 2-3. sometimes it will scratch 3rd. 2nd is a loud long scratch if in flat out. normal driving its just a firm kick in the ass.

my car is otherwise stock.

Thanks guys. The plate was drilled for 350-400 hp.
