Adapters?

How do yall feel about adapeters for the wheels?

I was wondering because with the lug pattern we have now, the choices of wheels are limited.

I understand that the offset of the wheels would have to change but with a wider variety the wheels will be less costly and probably easier to get exactly what you want.

generally - wheel adapters and spacers are not recommended - especially on the front wheels.

The reason is it moves the weight of the rim and tire out further - creating more and potentially dangerous leverage on the suspension. The front is particularly fragile since the ability to turn the wheels for steering makes the whole assembly more fragile. The rear IRS is stronger than the front but still not a very strong rearend.

The issue is if you hit something (pot hole, rock, ..etc) with one of the wheels – the forces trying to tear it off your car are magnified by the extra distance you moved the weight away from the hub.

With that said - I have used spacers on my other vechiles before....

So would you just forget about performance and live with it or, is it something that is that bad that on avverage it may bust?

If you get adapters make sure they are both hub and rim centric. If they are they should be fine. The problem is that our cars come with a 60 offset already, meaning the rim is super thin. So if you put an adapter on there you would have to find something like an 80 offset wheel to fit properly. Do they ever make thoes?
