Are the ECU's interchangable? Will a 93 ECU work in a 96? I have a 93 ECU with the code Z4HO

Yes and no. 93-95 are ODB I, 96-98 are ODB II. You can not swap these "generations" of ECUs around. But can interchange among generations.
