Hello all,

I read in another thread about a possible PATS key problem that causes engine to lock down for 30 minutes before starting. I have a 1997 Mark VIII that just starting having this lock-down problem. The car is old and I really don't need the alarm system on it anymore. How do I permanently disable the alarm system?

Quite a few threads on the alarm system.

I just did a search and nothing came up. Does anyone know how to disable the alarm system?

I just did the search again and it worked this time. I'm wondering if it is because I am logged in. The other times I did a search, I was logged off the forum. Go figure.
