I did a lot of searching and still lil confused.
I live in TN, I have yet to be here in summer I know it gets hot and very humid. The winters are cold but not freezing. We had a few days where it was 20 degrees.
My questions:
1.should I run a big 40k gvw cooler with a tstat?
2.Should I hook it up without using stock cooler?
3.Run it into the cooler then the radiator?
4.Run it from the radiator into the cooler?
5.What extras will I need to install the cooler?
6.What hoses are the best? Rubber high pressure or get steel hoses? If steel where can I get them and what sizes do I need?
Thank you everyone

Run the cooler stat no matter what.
A 40k is what you need and I run it as a stand alone personally. Just get the Hayden 40k from Summit or your local parts store and use what comes in the kit.

I decided to use a 2003 Torqshift Tranny cooler. So far it seems to work well.

Thanks guys.
Would you recommend using it as a stand alone?
