i got a front license plate mount for my 92 mark vii recently and have no idea how to attach it! their are studs(?) in the bumper but i have no idea how they come out. give me some pointers.

Those studs are rivets actually. Also, there are two screw holes for the bottom. If you're going to indeed insert a plate in the holder, then cosmetics won't matter.

Mount the holder to the plastic bumper strip but put your hardware behind th plate.
