I'm there. I'd like to put some acrylic double face tape on the back and then trim out the insides. That would make one nice emblem for the side windows or just behind the front wheelwells.

These will be L&R sets just like the facory Ford ones. You have to buy them in SETS of 2 !

so Geno... are these going to look like the cobra fender emblums but just with a lincoln star? Or are they going to be more like an intake plaque? I think that logo would look real sharp on the fenders depending on how it's done.

I know what they say opinions are like (and that everybody has one) and I'm kind of new around here but I'll chime in anyway. I think that this is really cool and would look great as a door emblem but 2.5" seems too small, at least for my Blackwood. I would think that 3.5" or 4" would work better. Also, how about one that would replace the star emblem on the top of the front grill. Count me in, at any rate. Also, I'm planning on adding a blower to my truck soon. Something like this would look cool on the blower case. Are these done on a C&C machine?

I will not have a solid price until I get an accurate idea of hoe many will need to be produced for the first run. I said around $40.00 a set. Then once they are made other sizes will NOT be a problem, wheel caps, trunk emblems, etc.

i dont know but i do know this if its got a dohc 4.6 its a cobra maybe not as hyped up maybe not as fast (although i blew some kid with an "official" cobras doors off they other night ) its a cobra motor if you took 98 cobra stuff from anyone who is making it the stuff would bolt right up to your car.

There will be no color. They will be high polished aluminum. Once they are made they can be made into ANYTHING at nearly ANY size, so yes the caps and trunk emblems will be covered as well as key chains and all too.

I wouldn't react to curious or eager prospective customers as an annoyance but would simply handle curiousity for these items as a group of people that are eager to advertise and showcase a product made by your company. If that simply isn't a lucrative way for advertising than what is? LOL

I have keeping everyone updated on this in this very thread. It is not dead at all. In fact I am working on it now as I am writing this post in AI. SO I am going to do a little here and a little there until it is done.

A chrome or billet one about 6 inches tall would look great on one of the biillet grills that guy is making for the mark viii ;)

Beacuse I got a real nice set of 5.0L High Performance emblems and I was really set on them. But then I see this and it cought my eye. Anyone can get the 5.0L emblems but what about some custom ones. Thats how I am looking at it. . .

i think you are very much mistaken with the way you are approaching this. this place is a place to play and have fun... this is not genos or anyone elses life or lively hood. i would have to think that genos first priority would be to put food on his table. and lets face it i few bullsh1t emblems aint doin it. the friggin guy said he was doin it and i am sure he will but ease off the guy before you screw the rest of us that are patiently waitin. and four monthes aint alot of time not when you consider someone is doing this from scratch. i waited 2 years for my cobra hood for my t-bird and you know what it was totally worth the wait.

Heh. I still want one, but I'm not really worried about it. I'd absolutely LOVE one engraved into a chunk of aluminum shaped to fit that nice spot on my upper intake manifold where it will say 5.0 HO in about a week. Failing that, count me in for a set for my opera windows.

I got tired of waiting and ordered a couple of "snakes" from Blue Oval. They look great on my white 98 Mark VIII LSC. I have to admit that yours will look better if you can get them produced. I'm still waiting?

The file looks like it will work if the height is about 3". If you can go
larger, then that would be better, but definately not smaller.

As I said before, I will have to do test cuts to see if it is feasible to do
parts this detailed and small on the plasma. If it works, then it's a go. If
not, then we'll have to talk about another solution. I wouldn't promise or
sell anything to anyone without 1st seeing a sample. We don't even know if
this will work until we do test cuts.

I will be out of town until the weekend. I am leaving in about an hour. We
can link up when I get back.

I did a test cut on this a few days ago. The parts are just too small to do
with the plasma and have it look good. My machine is really setup for
cutting larger items and I thought that I could get a good cut on these
things.

The test cut was able to cut the profile out and that's about it. The center
section doesn't come out, which pretty much makes it dead in the water. That is using the FineCut consumables I talked about earlier on.

Not sure about casting. I'll be talking to my laser guy either the end of
this week or beginning of next and see if he can laser AL that thick.

Sorry, but it looks like it is a no-go from me. You might want to find a guy with a laser to make them or have them cast in plastic. Wish I could be of more
help on this.

Those are some pretty sweet logo's, be sure there's no copyright problems with that I run a cnc machine at the shop I work at and if he is a tru lincoln fan (he could cut those out of scraps of alumn. or plex when he's done with the job he's cutting and drop the price alittle for the die-hards), I am currently replacing parts for my 1/10 scale nitro powered monster truck and the bumpers alone are 25$ for a set of front and rear, skid plates are the same, the only difference is mine are personalized.
