check this out. I was surfing ebay and found this Lincoln that caught on fire because someone tried to do a Xeon conversion on their headlights. I was going to get some angel eyes now i'm not so sure...

My guess is that the person didn't mount the ballast on a non-flammable surface. The HID conversion kits, which I sell on my website, have ballasts that get very hot. It recommends on the install to mount the ballasts on a non-flammable surface such as a metal portion of the car. You do not mount those on any plastic part of the LS. The LS is laden with plastic under the hood but the plastic is not fire retardant.

As for the Angel Eye Headlights, which again I sell on my website, has a different transformer that does not heat up when properly wired. So, it's completely two different items and not related.

Can you do a HID conversion with Angel Eyes? and how much would that cost?

it looks like it more than caught on fire. Seems like it was wrecked as well. Good deal though, you could probably part it out for quite a bit more, or start on some kind of engine build up project. Anyhow, it's very possibly to catch a car on fire playing with the headlights. Especially if the new ones draw alot more current. The wires are only meant for so much current, along with every wire in the car.

You can add the HID Conversion to the Angel Eye Headlights. The rings are CCFL (cold cathode flourescent lighting) so heat from the HID's will not affect them unlike LED's.

I agree with the statment above. It looks like that LS was hit in the front and probably caused a fire. Of course the only way to tell is to actually email the owner.
