Been looking for a better water pump for my 93 and different people on the forum have said that the 99 cobra and the aviator pumps fit as long as they are 4.6, can't find one that will fit, the cobra's have an extra mounting piece and the aviator has a longer nose piece with threads that the pulley won't fit on. Am I missing something?:confused:

Thats odd. I just put a 99 Cobra in my car - which had a 96 pump. The original pump was an Aviator. They all looked the same, externally, to me. But I can say for sure the 99 pump works fine, many have done it. Are you sure you had a Ford pump?

i just replaced mine with a 99 cobra pump. call max at five star. he will hook ya up.
