dtx01 March 16th, 2007, 03:37 PM Well we are getting hit pretty bad with some snow today in Long Island NY. Went to work @ 11:30 to only end up being sent home early @ 2. What a waste of time AND gas ;(. Getting home was even worse, i was going up a steep hill on a main road and my tires started to skip, man was that scary. then i got stuck infront of my girlfriends house. ended up doing some donuts for fun :D. good times, good times.

NYC LS8 March 16th, 2007, 03:40 PM Luckily I take an express bus to and from work in Manhattan, so my car can just sit...this way I don't have to worry about the other morons out there. But yeah, this sleet and wind is friggin' MISERABLE!!
buddyleee5 March 16th, 2007, 05:22 PM i just put my rims on tuesday and now its outside in 3" of snow.. oh well, i'll snap some pics later, we started out snow this morning went to sleet, we're now at freezing rain and expecting 2 inches of rain tonight up here in r.i. should be a fun evening

pragmatic March 18th, 2007, 09:05 PM Well for the second time in eight years I did not make it to my destination due to snow. Drove up the Thruway (leaving NJ at 6:20 pm Friday) made it 250 miles north to within 1/2 mile of the ski resort. Last hill is over 10% grade and snow was deep enough to come over the hood (slightly higher than the top of the front bumper). Broke the snow chains while spinning the right rear tire on the steepest section. Ended up sleeping in the car until the plows came by.
Anyway the skiing was great.
