Hi all I am in need of the steps on how to replace the transmission on a 93 mark viii, I let my friend borrow my disc and he lost it. I am in the middle of a 04 mustang gt trans swap and cant figure out how to get to the top bellhousing bolts. Thanks.

Don't '04 transmissions lack the grooves you need for you're speedo sensor?
Anyway, if you're having trouble with the bolts, you can remove the wiper cowl, and hold a socket on the upper driver's side bolt from the top of the car, while a friend turns the socket from underneath using extensions.

hmm well never heard that about the 04 trans but I guess ill find out for sure if i ever get this trans out.... The bolts are horribly corroded i guess.... i have 2 bellhousing bolts out and it took a lot to get them out. on the drivers side if you go up 1 bolt i had my impact on there at full blast and it wasnt moving, and you have no room to work with a rachet since the cat is in the way and I am afraid that if i start putting extensions on there its gonna strip(which has already happened on the passengerside middle bolt.... I have no idea how to get these things out) My friends trans swap took us no time to do because all the bolts came out nicely. This car is a different beast though, it took me 3 hours to get the rear loosened so i could take the drive shaft out of the trans. 45 mins to get the bolts out of the drive shaft. and 30 mins to get the 3 start bolts out. This car sucks im ready to take a sledge to it.
