No, I don't need it....I don't think.... However, some might think so....

I am looking for someone on here in the Margate, FL - Pompano Beach area who would be willing to check a LS for me down there. I am starting negotiations on a Theft Recovery that has a salvage title. Ken ran the carfax for me, but I would like to have a first hand experience (or by proxy).

If anybody would be willing, PM me or reply here.

I am going to lowball big time since there is no warranty due to the salvage title. I would just like to make sure it is worth my time to negotiate.

Any opinions on what a 2005 V8 w/ 22K miles w/ a salvage title would go for?

In Dash CD changer, heated and AC seats, sport package I believe.

Thanks....

That is the range of asking. I am going to go in way under that. Long term value and the fact that there is no warranty at this point devalues the car (to me anyway) further than that. Nothing might happen, just checking to see if I can catch a sweet deal.

If the asking price is $15k, I would offer $10k (provided there is no body damage and everything is in working order). If that is not the case, offer them 75% of the asking price. I'd say that would be a great deal.

+1

For clean title cars in this price range, I usually start my offer price $2000-$3000 under asking price. I ended up getting my LS $1200 under asking price this way.

Calling this off. I called the seller and offered 8K. I said my max would be 10K. He said his buy it now price (16K) is less than he owes so it is a no go.

Oh well, never know when you will find a rockin deal. Guess this wasn't it.

Thanks for the input.
