1993 Lincoln Mark VIII

Run of the mill 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII. Alternator is 4 years old, just had thermostat replaced, good tires on the car. Sun Roof, 12 CD Changer, 4.6L Engine. Nice rims, heather/air conditioning work great.

The problem is that it needs a new timing chain and some cosmetic work to make her beautiful again and I'm not willing to do it when I can get something else which will hold car seats for 3 grandbabies more comfortably. I'm asking $1000 or best offer.

You can contact me by emailing me at snapfish@gmail.com.

thanks, Tina

Hi, I know this says that I'm a new member, but I'm not. I was a member quite some time ago, but was probably deleted for inactivity as I didn't have internet access for a while (yay living in the sticks..not). I wrote the above 'for sale' the other night without really thinking it out. I've written a better one, but can't for the life of me figure out how to edit the original post. I'm not normally tech-challenged, but anything's possible today :)

Here's the better post. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly by email or pm. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Serious Inquiries only.
1993 Lincoln Mark VIII, Twin Cam DOHC, 32-valve 4.6-liter V8, Automatic 4 speed Transmission, Rear Wheel Drive, Two door Sports Coupe. Standard driver and passenger side airbags. Converted from Airbags to Coil Springs last year. 12 CD changer and sunroof in excellent condition. Body not in bad shape, dent in drivers side back wheel well from errant shopping cart, crack in passenger side windshield from a flying rock while traveling in road construction area. Needs Timing Chain fixed, but motor is otherwise in good condition with no known problems. Takes off with power, glides to top speeds easily, powerful motor, smooth handling. Factory Cruise Control, Power windows, doors, external keypad entry system. Good tires, alternator and battery replaced in last three years (Sears Diehard), new thermostat. Transmission and exhaust system in good shape with no known problems.

The only reason I'm selling the car instead of fixing it up is because I have three grandbabies in car seats and getting them in and out of a 2 door is difficult. With the slipped timing chain, you'll need to arrange a way to tow it when you buy it as it's not really driveable for any appreciable distance.
