mespock
November 13th, 2004, 12:02 PM
Ok, I know that some of us got a little off track in Randeaux's Thread Scenario#1 ( http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=3007 )
listing some great music.

Now here's the next quest!

LvC's Greatest Hits.

List your favorite Driving Tune, the song that when it comes on just makes the drive fun! Or that tune you have to start the cruise with when you going out on the town.

I know this is going to be hard for some as like myself there are just too many great driving tunes out there.

List Artist and Song Title.

Let's see what makes :V Rock!!!! :dj:

I love Judas Priest's "Rock You All Around The World". But how has nobody listed Quiet Riot's song "Slick Black Cadillac"? It has to be the best song out there. I listen to it every time I get in the car, and I don't even drive a Caddy! I do have my eye on a black 85 Eldo Convertible tho...

will have to add some Deep Purple, Slade, Grand Funk Railroad......More AC/DC, Deflepard, Scorpions,......

These are all really great songs, but since my rear bags vent all the time, my car is a lowrider, and there's only one song for that.

LOWRIDER

I like all types of music, but Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, early Metallica, Mudvayne, Slipknot and George Strait occupy most of my time

Hello my love
I heard a kiss from you
Red magic satin playing near, too
All through the morning rain I gave
The sun doesn’t shine
Rainbows and waterfalls run through my mind

In the garden, I see (ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah)
West purples shower bells and tea
Orange birds and river cousins (ah, ah, ah, ah, ah)
Dressed in green

Pretty music I hear
So happy and loud (ah, ah, ah, ah, ah)
Blue flowers echo
From a cherry cloud (ah, ah, ah, ah, ah)

Feel sunshine sparkle pink and blue
Playgrounds will laugh
If you try to ask, is it cool?
Is it cool?

If you arrive and don’t see me
I’m gonna be with my baby
I am free flying in her arms
Over the sea...

Stained window yellow candy screen
See speakers of kite (ah, ah, ah, ah, ah)
With velvet roses diggin’ freedom flight (ah, ah, ah, ah, ah)

A present from you (ah, ah, ah, ah, ah)

The wise man said just walk this way
To the dawn of the light
The wind will blow into your face
As the years pass you by
Hear this voice from deep inside
It's the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
The passage out of the dark

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

The wise man said just find your place
In the eye of the storm
Seek the roses along the way
Just beware of the thorns

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

The wise man said just raise your hand
And reach out for the spell
Find the door to the promised land
Just believe in yourself
Hear this voice from deep inside
It's the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
The passage out of the dark

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

Ace Of Spades by Motorhead - It will add 20mph to your speed
The Green Manalishi by Fleetwood Mac - Haunting voodoo tune

Wow!!! Didn't think this thread would be as popular as it has become.

Anyway, Thanks for all the input. I've made my first CD which I call LvC's Greatest Hits.

I know some of you have received a early Holiday gift.

I have been looking at all of the latest suggestions and can see more great driving tunes.

There may be a Vol. II but I am a bit overwhelmed with all of the great tunes. I have about 90% of the suggestions so maybe during the Holiday break I'll have some time to make another CD.

Keep the tunes coming as I always like help in making choices on what to put on my complication CDs.

Rock On - (yes I know David Essex) great tune!

I never thought this thread would get some many post.

There have been so many great tunes I'm getting overwhelmed!

I was sent an excellent CD from Randeaux yesterday "Rock 'N' Roll" High School" Sound Track with lots of The Ramones! Got to love the Ramones.

I have a few new ideas for some new Complication CD's. I'll be posting shortly after the Holidays.

What I am going to be looking for in different thread are - Soft Mellow (Romantic tunes) - Oldies - (Hot Rod Lincoln era) - One Hit Wonders - (Seasons in the Sun, Thunder Island, Switching to Glide etc) - And the Embarrassing Song you Love but you don't want to let anyone know you love that song (Safey Dance oh is that mine etc)

But don't start posting to these yet as I want to keep them in one thread so I can keep track. I'm going to choose 15 to 20 tunes enough to fill a CD.

Maybe there will be some random after Christmas gifts!! :wrench when I'm done.

I know some of you have enjoyed LvC Greatest Hits this Holiday Season :steering Great Tunes to Drive too!
