I realize this response comes a little late but for what it's worth...

Asp I recently imported an 05 Aviator into Canada and it didn't have DRL's. Whether a model has this option can vary from state to state and many confuse DRL's with the Autolamp dusk sensing functon mentioned above. Canadian Tire offers a DRL kit for about $25.00 with very little modification.

All it is is a relay system. Positive and negative wires are hooked to the battery, and your choice of high beam, low beam, fogs, parking, or any combination can be activated by using a coupler clip the connect it. Then another wiree is simply wrapped around one of the spark plug wires repeatedly to detect an electric current, signalling the unit to activate whenever the engine is running.

Fog lights are easiest to access and hook up as the wires are readily exposed underneath the front bumper and the guy doing my Federal Inspection at Candian Tire didn't seem to have a problem with those being the DRL's.
