The creator of the original Godzilla movie (I forgot his name) was an outspoken anti-American critic... Godzilla was supposed to represent America and America's destructive nature towards Japan. I.E. Godzilla being born from nuclear radiation and arising from the seas to destroy defenseless Japan etc. etc. etc.

My opinion, he's just a sore loser.
