removing exterior side trim thing

I think i saw this mentioned in another post but is there anyway you can remove the side trim thing without it messin up the doors? like is it drilled or does it stick ? if anybodys done this, some tips would be appreciated.
If nobody has any idea what im talking about, its this:

ive heard some people use good quality fishing line.. i know theres a thread floating around here somewhere ill see if i can find it and get back to you

I used high strength fishing line and just rubbed it back and forth behind it. However, I stoped once I got to the first hole, and put it back on. I think it would look awesome taken off, but you will need to figure out what to do with those holes. I think there is 2 or 3 of em

There is also a channel that the rub strip sits in.

When i had my mystique i managed to do it just going really slow and pulling it with my hands. I also used a blow dryer to heat up the glue so it let go easier. But it took a while to do. It looks great once it was done on that car though.
