I had a regulator relplaced when my car was in warranty and now 3 of them are not working now! how easy is it to replace that myself!!!!! I dont want to pay the dealer 300 + dollars a window to fix it if i dont have to! can someone help. also is tha common on the 01 LS V8:shifty:

If you can get the parts it should be relatively easy, assuming you are familiar with taking off a door panel + using basic tools + electricity. Unless the LS has some crazy system to their window regulators that I don't know about.

Is there a step by step manual to repair the windows?

There's many ways the regulator can stop working if you don't know what you're doing it would probably hurt you more than help you if you did it yourself. Try to find someone to do it for cheap.

I couldn't find the exact way to do it to the LS, but its not that hard of a concept.

Search is your friend. There is a good How-to on here with pictures, tool sizes, etc...

This was the easiest regulator replacement I've ever done. It is not a bad Saturday project at all. I did the regulator and pulled the intake manifold to replace the PCV hose on the same day .

I've taken the door panel off before (not for regulator, s/t else) and can say that part is fairly easy, might be worth a shot, just don't cause more damage than is already there!
