Changing an alternator

My buddy and I are going to change the alternator on his 2000 LS tonight. He has the V-8 in this car. Have any of you changed an alternator in this application? How hard is it? Any suggestions?

He went outside to look at it and says it's on the bottom side of the car. Not sure of where any of the bolts are, but I'm assuming it's a two bolt/ 3 wire setup like most late model Fords?

Thanks,
Kevin

Holy hell. Whatever you do, take your LS to the shop to have the alternator changed. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS YOURSELF. I would rather change the heater core in my Mustang again before changing the alternator in my friend's LS. I swear they built the car around the damn thing. Whoever the design lead was on that part of the car should be castrated with a dull piece of barbed wire and strung up by his empty eye sockets.
