Hi, My STS shifts fine through first and second, but after that, its doesnt seem to shift. Like on the freeway, if i let off the gas it slows down and the RPMs drop quickly, they arent steady. After i get to about 80, the check transmission displays, and then the transmission starts kicking hard when it shifts throufg 1st and second. But when i leave the car off for a while, it shifts fine through 1st and second with no kick. The fluid level seems ok. Any suggestions? Is it the tranny or a sensor maybe?

modual inside trans needs replacing 96.00 or so but labor 1,500 by a dealer 99.9% sure this is your problem

sounds like symptoms of a shot tranny. I have a lincoln BUT transmission did the same thing. 1 and 2, but no 3 or 4. New tranny fixed that problem.

Man, that was 2 years ago!!
