Does anyone have a double din in their mark?decibels5 February 14th, 2007, 07:30 PM I have a friend with a Mark VIII and he wants to know if a double din will fit and if they sell a kit for it. Any pics would be great. Thanks in advance poniesviii February 14th, 2007, 08:02 PM We have a 1.5 din.. Frogman February 14th, 2007, 08:03 PM Lots of us have a double DIN unit in our Marks. Mostly Pioneer AVIC D1 and D2 units. Soon a Z1 in mine to replace my D1. decibels5 February 14th, 2007, 08:23 PM Does anyone sale a dash kit for it? Or is it custom made to fit. Frogman February 14th, 2007, 09:11 PM I don't think anyone "sales" a kit a it. decibels5 February 14th, 2007, 09:20 PM  I don't think anyone "sales" a kit a it. Frogman February 14th, 2007, 09:23 PM Does anyone sale a dash kit for it? Or is it custom made to fit. 'nuff said. decibels5 February 14th, 2007, 09:42 PM Either you dont know what Im talking about or I dont understand you, but if you are trying to be funny, let me clarify. There is a kit for aftermarket stereos that audio shops sell. This kit allows you to correctly brace and mount an aftermarket radio into the same spot as an oem radio. I do not have a Mark, I have a LS so I have not gone to an audio shop to ask if they sell one for a Mark. The answer that I am looking for is yes (they sell them at audio shops e.g best buy, audiovice etc.) or no ( I had to make my own bracket to make it fit correctly) Frogman February 14th, 2007, 10:00 PM Oh, I know what you're asking. You obviously don't understand what I'm poking fun at, so I'll try to clarify it for you. I'll even type slowly, so you can keep up. SALE sale |sāl| noun 1 the exchange of a commodity for money; the action of selling something : we withdrew it from sale | the sale has fallen through. • ( sales) a quantity or amount sold : price cuts failed to boost sales. • ( sales) the activity or business of selling products : director of sales and marketing. 2 an event for the rapid disposal of goods at reduced prices for a period, esp. at the end of a season : a clearance sale. • [often with adj. ] a public or charitable event at which goods are sold. • a public auction. PHRASES ( up) for sale offered for purchase; to be bought : cars for sale at reasonable prices. on sale offered for purchase : the November issue is on sale now. • offered for purchase at a reduced price. ORIGIN late Old English sala, from Old Norse sala, of Germanic origin; related to sell . SELL sell |sel| verb ( past and past part. sold |sōld|) [ trans. ] 1 give or hand over (something) in exchange for money : they had sold the car | the family business had been sold off | [with two objs. ] I was trying to sell him my butterfly collection. If you still don't get it, then spelling pwns you. (Yes, it's spelled "pwns" on purpose. To repeat what I originally said... I don't thik anyone SELLS anything like that. You really don't need it anyways. Only time you'd need something like an install kit is if you were putting a single DIN into a bouble DIN or 1.5 DIN opening. plymouth383 February 14th, 2007, 10:02 PM He was making fun of your grammar. It’s not sale it's sell. As far as I know I think most double din units come with brackets in the box with the radio. The double din should be an install and go. I don't know if there is any installation kit or not. got to it before i could :D shiryu0 February 14th, 2007, 10:41 PM you have to cut 1/4 inch on top of the opening for a double din to fit, just get the unit, measure, mark were youre gonna cut and cut away, all of those universal brackets and what not do not apply to a Mark VIII, unit just fits snuggly in the opening, on a Gen 2 like mine you may have to relocate the air bag module, i just had to push it up and reroute the harness to the buttons for the message center, and what i believe was the interior temp sensor.....hose???........i dont i just rerouted that thing, fits fine :D Frogman February 15th, 2007, 12:00 AM Are those night lights (HVAC, seat heater controls, message center, etc), actually blue, or is it just the way the camera saw them? shiryu0 February 15th, 2007, 12:20 AM camera phone :( .........wished they matched, headunit is blue though........ decibels5 February 15th, 2007, 05:53 AM Either you dont know what Im talking about or I dont understand you, but if you are trying to be funny, let me clarify. I wasnt trying to write a book or anything. good catch though. I completely missed the whole meaning of your post. Was thinking that you were just bsing. I do feel pretty slow at this point. Thanks for the pics also. Frogman February 15th, 2007, 07:12 AM No worries. I like giving crap to the LS crowd. It's all good. Jibit February 15th, 2007, 09:09 AM No worries. I like giving crap to the LS crowd. It's all good. don't lie, you like giving crap to anyone that deserves it ;) Frogman February 15th, 2007, 09:37 AM Damn. Busted.... MediumD February 16th, 2007, 07:03 PM To repeat what I originally said... I don't thik anyone SELLS anything like that. You really don't need it anyways. Frogman February 16th, 2007, 10:52 PM Ofcourse they do! Mine has a bouble DIN opening. It Boubles. GMAN February 16th, 2007, 11:16 PM If you have a 93 or 94, you can only go with a single din. | ||||
