How do i tell the difference between the left front and right front new struts?
It looks like there was sum writing on the top? but its all smudged and i cant tell? Or are they even that much different. They loook pretty much the same. They are both stampedwith a number two on the bottom fork where it attachs to the lower arm.

I can't see there would be any difference in a front conversion strut, but I cannot say for certain.

I also drive a lincoln. Im getting ride of the air. I just wondered if theres any difference between and left and a right? one of the tech articles says they should be marked , which is which? and i cant see anything marking that.??

I had the same issue with mine. the spacing of the 3 bolts on the top of the strut dictate left or right side. The struts should be marked! the left will not fit on the right side and vice versa.
