My check light symbol came on yesterday, and it seems that my left rear brake light and center high mounted light are both off, although thankfully my right rear light is still fine. It appears to be just the brake light, as my turn signals, and whatever lights that come on when I hit the remote lock, still work fine.

I pulled the fuses from the trunk today, and they're both fine. It just seems a little unlikely that the bulbs would break, although it has been very cold here recently (not sure if that's a factor)? How do I check whether the bulbs are indeed broken?

Also, how to check/replace the center brake light?

Is it just a matter of unscrewing the trunk liner, and pulling the bulb? is the bulb attached to the plastic lamp housing with glue or anything?
