Vibration

I have a 2006 LS - new, has only 1k on it. Yesterday we were on the turnpike with it for the first time, and at 75-80 mph there was a noticable vibration in the steering wheel, as if front tires were out of balance. Tire pressure was checked and was ok.

Anybody else with an '06 have this problem, and was it, in fact, a tire balance problem??

Thanks,

R

90% of the time, steering wheel vibration issues can be traced to wheel balance issues, especially on a new car. Next most common would be some sort of issue with the actual tires.

I'd suggest a tire balance and rotate.

but before, make sure that you dont have a screw in one of the tires. B/c that can cause vibrations also.

I'm betting that you threw a wheel weight. I have an '06 that has no such vibrations, but my '04 did what you describe when it threw a weight.
