Hello people, this has got nothing to do with LS but I still want to share with you guys.

Two of my friends have 740ILs. One is silver 99 non-sport with 16" wheels and the other one is white 01 740il with sport package on stock 18s.

So my friend who works in a body shop got this totaled black 2001 740i sport in with 50k miles on it. That car has been T-boned really bad from driver's side and is gonna go to the junk yard these few days.

Today we went to the shop and exchanged few things from that car.

The guy with the 99 car got 18" silver staggered M-parallel wheels with like new Michelin Pilot Sport tires, chrome grill, clear lights (front/back/side), some minor stuff from the interior (new lighters, ashtrays, etc), ABS unit ($1100 new), some radiator part ($60).

The guy with the 01 car got M sport steering wheel like new (about $600 on ebay used), one fiber optic cable for front door ($100 at dealer) and that's about it.

I got the Homelink for our 330i.

So we got whole these bunch of expensive stuff for free. So both cars got complete.

We wanted to remove the sport seats for the silver car but the driver's one was damaged.

It was sunday today and we could take only stuff from it today, so it there was more time we could have taken the limited slip shorter diff off of it also.

I was just really excited and wanted to share.

Thats cool! I always try to hit up a salvage yard with a LS in it to see what I can find. Always find something I need/want :)

any idea on how to find a salvage yard near u wit an LS? not many in my area

I am not sure, there are lots of junk yards here is cali where they have newer cars 2000 and up or just luxury cars, but I have never really seen an LS there. Bunch of rolled Navis.
