HyeLifeLS January 29th, 2007, 12:14 AM Wow, I filled up my LS the other day and drove it 330 miles and the gas light still wasn't showing, so I went to the gas station and filled it up again about 16.5 gallons.
So I got about 20 mpg in mixed driving, although I drove a lot of freeway and was easy on the main pedal.
I have the stock 17s on right now and I was just impressed to get that kind of mileage out of my 01 LS V6 auto with 122,000 miles.
The best I had before was 18 mpg.
I am happy, not that much because I saved couple of bucks, but because I got it up in 20s.

That's funny your gas light didn't come on, mine starts chiming when it says 50 miles left, and then it chimes more often like every 10 miles after that, it's kinda annoying but whatever (:
Rodewaryer January 29th, 2007, 04:54 AM I got 25.2 on one tank on a stretch of road somewhere in northern Nevada or southern Idaho enroute to Montana.......My overall average is running around 18.5 at the moment....

i was down in the 13s before i got my valve covers done...now im up around 17

03 v8, stock 17's usually run about 75-80 on the Interstate, rarely more.
Gas light is very aggressive (and consequently annoying)... might need to have your checked. :-)

WOW you must be easy on the go-pedal. My 04 v6 doesnt do quite that well on the stock 16". I have yet to take a road trip since installing the KKM unit, hopefully that will have a slight affect. Typically running 75-80 will get me
23-24 interstate but my weeklies only get me 20-21.
