CobraLS January 18th, 2007, 10:55 AM I have to replace my front struts. I am trying to determine which suspension my 2003 has now. It is a V8. I believe it has the sport package because it does not have the rear adjustable headrests. Is there any way to tell between the sport struts / shocks and european suspension without crawling under the car and getting the part number off the struts?
Quik LS January 18th, 2007, 12:30 PM IIRC - your only factory options were base or sport - euros were not OE on any northamerican LSes.
CobraLS January 18th, 2007, 12:43 PM Thanks.
beaups January 18th, 2007, 01:24 PM I know the rear stabilizer bar on sport was larger diameter than non sport. you could measure it?

CobraLS January 18th, 2007, 02:22 PM Hmmm....is there any other way to tell what suspension my car has? VIN? Trim Plate? Anything?
bigpappy33 January 18th, 2007, 02:50 PM from your picture gallery it looks like you have no chrome on the bumpers and the sport wheels, so i would say you have the sport supsension.

Me Too ... But my Sport is an 06. Don't know if they are small of large though.
NateRW21 January 18th, 2007, 06:43 PM so what's the word on the euro shocks? I've got an 03 sport... can I get euro shocks for it?
Quik LS January 18th, 2007, 07:32 PM yes - http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showpost.php?p=65472&postcount=6
LS4me January 18th, 2007, 09:38 PM The rear anti-sway bars are the same, sport V6 & V8, according to a Lincoln suspension engineer.
All '03-'05 V8 LSes are sport, all '03-'05 V6's are non-sport. That is with the exception of Canadian and 3 American V6's. All '06 LSes are sport.
SoonerLS January 18th, 2007, 09:54 PM All '06 LSes are sport.
