(1) a stock Mark VIII will go 135 MPH. (2) If you have a 24 oz candle in a glass jar in your trunk and you make a hard right turn while fishtailing the rear end, that candle just could smack the side of the trunk and trip the fuel cut off swith. (inerta switch) or what ever its called. Then your car could quit running while the driver (me) tries to figure out why she quit running. Good thing im kinda smart and it only took me 5 minutes to figure it out!

IIRC unchipped a base model is 130 top speed and the LSCs I believe hit the limiter at 124 or so cause of the slightly higher gear.

I'll get the candles out of my truck right now....LOL.

That must have been one heck of a jerk or some damn good aim on the candles part.

i had a nitros bottle in my trunk and it came undone and rolled and hit the fuel shutoff. i was so pissed off i thought so much :q:q:q:q was wrong with my car. took me about 15 min to check that switch.

Yep, I thought fuel pump, timing chains, valve spring, I was freaking out at first!!! I was so happy when I realize what had happened!

I had a front strut roll over and hit the inertia switch. Took me a few minutes to realize it as well.

ive hit 130 on my LSC, first night i owned it.....ive seen answers vary all over on that, my tach went dead for a split second dropped to zero and then came back around to the rpm it was at prior :confused: .......that kinda made me back off :D

do 130+ all the time with mine.
