General motors plans to unveil the Redesigned 2008 Cadillac CTS in a few hours. But We managed to get our hands on some early information and photos.
What we know is that the Cadilalc 2.8L VVT engine is dead, being replaced by the 3.6L DOHC producing 258hp. The upgrade engine is the rumored direct injection 3.6 pumping out a fantastic 300hp.
Either engine will be available with a 6-speed manual (yipee!) or 6-speed auto. All-wheel drive will also become an option for the first time.
General Motors has also given us a live video feed of the official unveiling at the Detroit Auto Show, scheduled for about 10:40am today (Central Time) The 2008 Cadillac CTS is expected to go on sale this fall. Later on, expect to find a V-series CTS, packing an additional two cylinders and producing adequate performance to keep up with some of its rivals.
