As I look around here I see everyone doing different things to their LS's. Sometimes only a handful like it and sometimes everyone does so I was wondering what your favorite mod(s) or upgrade(s) are to your LS or anyone elses for that matter.

I think tinted windows is one of the cheapest and best things one can do for his car.

Other than that I loved my 20s. But they are off now as the car is going for sale.

x2. I just replaced my speakers with Infinity References and just put in Infinity Perfect 10.1's and it made a world of difference. Now all I have to do is install that 1650 watt 4 channel Infinity amp for the speakers and we'll be ready to go.

quik's s/c is my favorite non-Lucy mod. Lucy's best is the tint, it made the car much more badass looking than without. also painting the woodgrain to match the exterior, that looks good too i think.

Right now, I'd have to say...
K&N T-bird FIKP2
Mclearn Grill
Having my chrome license plate surround painted

Upgrades on the way:
EBC Red Stuff ceramic pads (Front and Rear)
Cryogenicly treated PowerSlot Rotors (front and rear)
Braided stainless brake flex lines at all four corners

Future upgrades:
window tint (20% all around)
Powder coated brake calipers
Powder coated brake rotors (all but friction surface)
Magnaflow exhaust (when it finally comes to market, jan or feb)
SCT Tuner
GMS coils IF they reach production
Eibach springs
LSE front bumper
Mach 1 front spoiler

I just got my 03 a month ago so unfortunatly it takes some time to get this stuff rolling. Rear brake rotors were in shabby shape so that became the priority once I did the inspection. OH and new lugnuts... all around they are junk from the factory. HOWEVER, Gorllia makes a lugnut which appears to be dimensionally identical in terms of the mechanics of the nut to the factory lugnut. Summit carries them but are currently back ordered till Jan 20th. Summitracing part number: GOR-72137 (one set of 4, $5.99). Matching Locks: GOR-62631 (one set of 4, $12.39) I have not recieved mine yet so I can't PROMISE they work, but I'd first ordered McGard lugnuts and found the shank to be too long; I researched it and found the gorllia lugnuts are almost identical so they should work. ::shrug::

I agree with Aserrano, the lip is the best visual piece to add (on a non-LSE bumper anyway). Makes the front end look a lot more sporty and yet it's flexible enough to take punishment unlike fibreglass body kits.
And yes, Aserrano is the first one to have done this and we should all congradulate him for it. But I wrote the DIY so there! haha.

For everyone with the stock 16" rims (the hideous chrome ones) I think new wheels should be considered a necessity rather than an option. Am I the only one that hates those with every fibre of my being?

Performance wise would have to be exhaust, improves the performance and sound, best bang for thebuck.

I didn't hate them, but replacing the stock 16" wheels with the 17" '04 LSE wheels was my first upgrade (not counting the installation of my Visteon Sirius adapter). It greatly improves the handling.

Todd, where did you get that "Lincoln" nameplate for your dash and how much was it?

18" wheels and tires, first and foremost mod. I have a lot of other mods done and still a few to do but rims and tires ditch the stock look quickest.

Roger, you can get one at LSKoncepts:

http://www.lskoncepts.com/store/lincoln-emblem-small-p-139.php

Ken also stocks several "V8" fender emblems too. My favorite (and the one I have on my car) is the one from the 2004 Thunderbird:

Todd,

you got a pic of the v8 emblem on yours? are the rear door sills available at the same place too? my first order of business is to still order some floor mats. nothing like buying an 06 with no freakin mats!

Todd,

Yes, the V8 fender badge that is shown on the LSKoncepts site is actually my car. Same with the dashboard Lincoln logo.

The floormats I got are the upgraded Lincoln mats, Part Number 1W4Z5413300 for a set of four, and can be ordered at any Ford or LM dealer. They cost about $60. There is an ending two-letter code that specifies the color, but this basic number is correct. On the rear mats, I added an iron-on Lincoln Star emblem that adds a touch to the rear seat. See pic below.

The rear sill plates are available by special order at any Ford or LM dealer. The part numbers are 3W4Z5413228AAB and 3W4Z5413229AAB for the left and right sides. You can cut off the mounting fingers and attach the sill with double sided molding tape. Below are before and after shots.

I also added a custom-made trunk mat, and etched glass decals on the rear quarter windows and mirrors.

Last but not least, I addeed Magnaflow exhaust tips. The original tips were too small, especially on the 06 LS with the rear fanny skirt. These 4-inch double walled tips fill up the cutout much better than the stock tips.

I think the amber looks good on a black car. I put my original headlights in and they looked pretty damn good for a change.

My favorite performance upgrade would have to be the X-Cal2 Visual would no doubt be the de-chromafication of the LS.
