seanklsc December 30th, 2006, 12:32 PM Its been like this for a month or two but I was too lazy to ask why.. its going on way too long though..
The only way I can explain it, is half the screen is being taken up by some malformed table. Take a look.

pepperman December 30th, 2006, 07:02 PM Part of the new look, I think.
seanklsc December 31st, 2006, 01:42 AM No, it can't be. Taking up half my screen with an enlarged table? Does that mean everyone is seeing this and no one says anything?
Dereck December 31st, 2006, 06:13 AM Hi Seanklsc
Yeah I think it's meant to be like that all those advertisments are a real turn off that's for sure.

Dereck

Frogman December 31st, 2006, 12:21 PM Sounds like a browser problem on your end, Sean.

Hi Seanklsc
Yep that's a problem allright, the box has to be that big so all the advertisments fit around it, I know it really blows.

seanklsc January 1st, 2007, 03:28 PM I don't understand why you think it has to do with ad space.
Can we get an admin to comment in this thread?
Frogman January 1st, 2007, 03:54 PM It's just a border size issue in the template. Not a real big t deal, just scroll down past it.

I think it has to do with a browser setting on your end.
seanklsc January 1st, 2007, 09:15 PM I just realized whats going on. Inside that table are google ads that were being blocked by AdBlock firefox extension. I opened it in IE7 and I see what its supposed to look like. Why didn't anyone tell me?
Anyway, this looks like :q:q:q:q. On my laptop running WXGA 1280x768 resolution, ads take up the entire first screen of any thread I view. Show me another forum or any website for that matter that obscures the entire first page with ads thinking no one would have a problem with it. Now I have to figure out how to ignore this code with a firefox extension.
I'm all for making money but this is rediculous. There's other Lincoln sites that don't whore themselves out like this. We're just a bunch of car lovers. At least put the ads horizontally like anyone else would do, our of harm's way. Scrolling past ads is honestly affecting the way I browse this site and I guarantee others feel the same.
seanklsc January 1st, 2007, 09:19 PM Whatever. Adding a few more filters to adblock took care of it for the most part. Keep counting your $$ guys. Maybe you can afford that new Lincoln MKR when it comes out.
Frogman January 1st, 2007, 10:25 PM I <3 FireFox.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't care for the goggle ads myself and I haven't seen a dime from this site. So some of us are still car guys I guess.
