Need wheel alignment specs

Limey

I need to have the front wheel alignment checked on my '92 LSC.
Does anyone know what it should be set to? I assume it will be toe-in, but by how much?

Thanks very much.
I'm gonna sound stupid now, but am I right in thinking the 1/8th inch is toe in? Generally only front wheel drive c**p is toe out.

Hi Limey

I get the same trouble with my Town Car (in fact all my Town Cars), it's the left front that wears on the outside edge I have put it down to our road camber and roundabouts as I have had the frame and wheel alignment checked with laser alignment equipement.

Guess what? It's the outside edge of my left hand front tyre too!
interesting theory, especially about roundabouts. Not sure why Lincolns would do it when UK cars don't though?
It might be worth going to the lower end of the toe-in range to compensate i.e. 0"-1/16th" rather than 1/4"

Think i'll turn the tyre around for now

You could run a little bit more negative camber. If you're driving hard, the wear might improve or stay the same.

Hi Limey

It's not just Lincolns my friends Cadillac does it too.

I have tried varying the wheel alignment to compensate and have ended up with a slight drift to the left when going straight, funny thing is I have no problem when driving on the continent
