poniesviii November 28th, 2006, 12:12 AM I'd do a search but I just know I'd end up with a bunch of junk to read through.
Anyone who's dynoe'd their mark, what are your numbers??
What are your mods?
I don't care if there's only two replies, but if you don't have a YES I'VE DYNOED (not MY FRIEND DID IT) followed by YOUR NUMBERS and a list of YOUR MODS please don't post .. thanks!
I'm also curious to stock numbers.. not engine numbers .. rear wheel numbers..
BigBoyBoelts November 28th, 2006, 07:35 PM Yeah just before I bought my 94, guy who owned it ran a dyno shop. Pretty much NO mods other than a K&N filter. Got 241 RWHP, dont remember the tourqe off the top of my head but I guess it was at 280ish RW....Ill have to scan in the graph for you.
98LSC32V December 1st, 2006, 02:32 PM I call BS on the 280rear wheel torque figure for a stock Mark VIII... my 95 LSC had somewhere in the neighborhood of 265rwhp when it ran 13.8 at 101mph. Stock Mark VIII's seem to dyno around 220rwhp...

He said 241 RWHP and 280 TORQUE.
97quadcam December 1st, 2006, 03:39 PM Well it shifts into od at 4700 RPM's so the graph only says 218 rwhp, but torque was 245 ft/lbs. However at 6k it should be somewhere in the 240 hp...maybe a touch over 245. A/F ratio is at a very conservative 13:1 as I'm having some pinging issues. I have the following:
potential hp adders:
Cobra Intake
Walbro fuel pump
CAI
Sniper tuner
180 degree tstat
Stock #'s were a good bit lower @
197 hp @4700 (speed limiter) Would have been around 215...maybe 220 @ 6k
229 ft/lbs
Both times were on an sae corrected Dynotech dynamometers.
98LSC32V December 1st, 2006, 07:57 PM When I speak of rear wheel numbers i'm talking about SAE corrected Dynojet numbers which is the industry standard.
Roadboss December 3rd, 2006, 07:46 PM I have 535 RWHP and 468 TQ all SAE net numbers, Forged short block, "C" heads, stock cams, KB intercooled kit at 13lbs boost on 93 Octane. Tuned by Lidio.

TT mark viii....wow
97quadcam December 4th, 2006, 08:00 PM Isn't he the one with the stock internals? I seriously doubt a stock 4.6 can handle those kinds of numbers without coming apart. But I may be thinking of someone else.

decibels5 December 19th, 2006, 07:22 PM Does the name Reinhart ring a bell to any of you motor heads? The reason I am asking is because, at my last car show, this guy comes up to me bragging about owning a big name Ford/Lincoln tune shop here in Jacksonville. He was quite cocky and I quote "I was the first person to supercharge a Lincoln Mark VIII." I could tell he must have been a little legit, because all the fords there had his name somewhere on them. Just wanted to know if anyone knows him. Just curious, because he seemed to think he could do anything to my car, including supercharging it, building me a tranny, and doing the nearly impossible. heres some of the cars.23348

Frogman December 19th, 2006, 07:24 PM Yeah. Dennis is a poor businessman. I've read quite a few horror stories about him.
98LSC32V December 21st, 2006, 11:13 PM Yes, Dennis Reinhart has an 11 second supercharged 95 Mark VIII and quite a few supercharged Mauraders. He knows how to make a Mark VIII fast for sure, if I lived by him I would bring my 98 LSC for him for so go fast goodies...

midwestbird December 22nd, 2006, 02:13 PM Dennis Reinhart seems to have a bad rep in certain places. I had a simple chip from him a few years back and the product worked fine.
poniesviii December 29th, 2006, 11:37 PM Well, The Florida State Patrol had him hopp up 20 brand new marauders for the highways.
97quadcam December 30th, 2006, 11:36 AM He may know his stuff, but he still hasn't over come his bad rep.

Nice numbers, what compression are you running? Let me know if you need a trans to hold up to it. So far we haven't found anyone able to blow up our Stage 3 or 4 yet. And looking forward to a twin turbo setup to test the Stage 4 here soon. With full lockup and our Stage 3 TC we have a Bullitt running 10.17 @ 134mph. If he can keep the heads on it should be in the 9s here shortly, 580 rwhp. This is with the Stage 3 trans. He droped over a full second going from a TKO to the auto.

What special work goes into the body of a stage 3 and 4 Lonnie?
You're expecting 9's with 580 out of that mustang huh.. I'd like to see that! (no sarcasm, more out of curiousity from what I've seen so far, you must be tuning the car pretty good.)

Excess Nitrous is hard on a motor.. even a built one. Everything makes sense when someone says they've run nitrous, and a 250 shot is nuts Lol.

That's totally proprietary. This is my bread and butter so I'm not about to give out how we do it. And yes it will be in the 9s once he gets the latest head problem taken care of. This car is totally streetable also. He drives it almost daily to and from work.

yeah i know its hard on the motor thats why we are kinda starting to lean on takeing off the 250 shot and strapping on a KENNE BELL or PROCHARGER d-1sc
and thank you i pride myself on being a little nuts:D :D
98LSC32V January 6th, 2007, 11:58 PM How much torque at the rear wheels are you making on the 250 shot?

cobraracing January 8th, 2007, 03:22 AM That stang sounds awesome, it lost a tenth or 2 hitting the rev limiter

Lonnie January 9th, 2007, 07:35 PM Ponie,
not a problem. I'm the owner of Blue Oval Chips. Besides reprogramming, mods, swaps and installs I also now provide custom transmissions. After experiencing 2 failed (so called bullet proof) trans from another shop myself. Then seeing numerous others spend their hard earned cash on so called built trans that failed or they didn't get what they paid for, I decided that there needs to be a real performance 4R70W available to the people. I teamed up with 2 others that are in the TC and trans business. We spent over 2 years tearing down failed built trans from various companies to evaluate them. You would not believe the number of trans we found that were actually just a stock rebuild with some kind of shift kit installed. We then built several versions, tested them and re-evaluated until we came up with something that works. Then we put them behind engines in hopes of something breaking so that we could figure out the limits and offer various stages.
Cobra,
I didn't do the track programming for that car so I can't say if it's the rev limiter or it's the problem that's plagued this car for awhile now. More than likely it's the ignition problem. The ignition keeps breaking up at the top end even on the dyno. Upgraded the whole system, different plugs, less gap and still have it. Found the Granatelli COP were failing and they sent back the latest version. That worked for a couple pulls and now it's back again. This is why the heads lifted last time.
poniesviii January 10th, 2007, 03:10 AM Lonnie.......
Looks like you should own the market with that type of dedication.!
You wouldn't have a 3.55 pumpkin laying around would you? Totally off subject but I'm looking for one within the next couple weeks hopefully. Came to mind.
I should send you a pm, have a couple q's about SCT.
