Hi, please can anyone tell me the easiest way to get ALL the trapped air out of the cooling system?? I flushed it a year back, and keep getting air trapped into the heater core now, resulting in no heat in the cabin.

Thanks,

Sure,

With the car cold, take the radiator cap off, start the car. Turn the heat on to 90. Allow the car to idle until warm. As the car warms up it may, cough coolant out of the neck, thats ok, let it get the trapped air out.

When the radiator has settled out and you have heat, congrats.

The next time you do a T-sat, see if you can get one with a small hole or a "jiggler" to allow air to pass as the pump is turning. Or you can put a small hole in one if you choose.

i tried this once, but as the t-stat opened it pushed a load of coolant out of the radiator cap, so i quickly put it back on so i didnt loose all my coolant!!

So is this normal?? should i just let it chuck out what it wants and then top off once it settles??

Thanks again
