how do you remove the plastic cover from the dome lights. i dont want to break them

If you look around the cover there should be a small indentation in it between the cover and the base. Insert a small screwdriver in that spot, and gently push inward while pulling on the cover.

I'm going from my experience with FORDs in general, and not specific to the LS.

thats the first thing i was looking for, ut its flushed all the way around
