no and no but i was looking at buying an 03 v8 sport for 13 grand and the back of the passenger seat was off completely. i assked them what was wrong and he said it just pops on and off. maybe that will help

Common problem. The two upper clips break or bend and then the seat falls off.

Mine was fixed under warranty since I am still under warranty.

Jim Henderson is correct. Very common, top clips break due to heat and pressure. Had both seats back replaced one year apart under warrenty.

i had the same problem. i ordered one for my driver's seat, but i sold the car before i installed it. if anyone is interested in it, shoot me a pm with an offer. retail price from dealer is $140. it cost me $93 + tax with my employee discount. it is for light grey(truffle) interior. will work on either seat.
