What is this thing?

98, Driver's Side just ahead of the ABS junction box. It has a 1" hose coming out of it, but I can't for the life of me remeber where the hose goes.

Any ideas?

Looks like the emissions air pump.

Looks Abs system important Alex.........I would get the number and have Max cross reference it.

Yeah, I'd listen to 94m5. Check twice before removing.

The thing with the relay attached is the air pump. You'll have to mount the relay elsewhere with good ground. The relay is in fact for the ABS, but the pump is not. Make sure it's switched off in the tune, or you'll get CEL.

The new tune will have the thermactor pump shut off.

Not to but heads, but unless something changed in 97/97 I am pretty darn sure that the relay in the photo is indeed for the AIR pump its attached to. The ABS relay is much higher up and almost right behind the side-marker. When my suspension replay on my 95 went I stole the ABS relay from my 96 cause it was not going anywhere. When I go it running I needed and ABS relay so I stole it from the AIR system :D (AIR was deleted)
