I like the MKZ and plus it would blow the doors off the Mark VIII

The MKZ IS a Zephyr (although it uses a 3.5 Duratec instead of the 2006 3.0) and sould be a pretty close race with a Mark VIII. I like it, but it looks a little too close to the 88-94 Taurus Continentals.

Then there's the MKS, if it uses the 4.4 Yamaha/Ford V8 like the concept then maybe it would blow our doors off, but it sure won't with a 3.5 Duratec.

The Zephyr does look alot like the 88-94 LINCOLN Continentals. A car is just that a Car it takes a good driver to win a race!!!

Hey Omer if a driver doesn't know how to handle the MKZ then it is not going to blow the doors off anything. :D

I think The 3.5 is going to be faster then the Mark VIII. The Zephyr right now does 0-60 in 7.2 and the quater Mile in 15.6 @ 93 MPH. They said that the 3.5 should do a 0-60 one second quicker then the current one. So 0-60 in about 6.2 and quarter miles in high 14s (guessing)

quarter miles in the high 14's is not faster than the mark...

Why are we comparing the performance of a new lincoln to a lincoln that's up to 13 years old, again?

Jealousy of not owning such a fine car?

I'm annoyed that they adjusted the name.

When it debuted, it was promoted as the Mark Z. But now that it's available for sale, they changed the name to "em-kay-zee".

"Mark Z" sounded so much better.

The MKZ with the 3.5 is not that fast... look at the competetion, the Lexus IS350 and 07 G35 Sedan both have over 300hp and run high 13's in the 1/4 mile stock with 3.5 DOHC engines. Lincoln needs to step it up...

The MKZ looks similar to a 2000 Subaru Legacy. Not very impressive.

g35 sedan and is350 high 13's stock? I don't think so....that seems way too high for those cars.

Well I was actually being a bit modest, they actually run mid 13 to high 13's stock. Check the magazine times for 06/07 IS350 and 07 G35... 300+ horsepower and around 3400lbs with excellent transmissions = those times...

I've seen the 2006 on the road , it was moving quite nicely ... mid-size cars do well with v-6s
