My Quarter mile time slip is in!

I took the Mark to CA Speedway today. The conditions were not too great, 1000 feet above sea level, 85-90 degrees (a little hot). My fastest run was my first one which was at 9:30 AM, I ran 15.233 at 93.21 MPH. I ran against a 2001 Mustang GT 5 speed and I was neck and neck with him for the most part but he slightly pulled away from me. Second run was 15.346 @ 93.07 MPH, and the last was with my air box put back together and in the middle of the hot day. The last run was 15.801 at 89.84 MPH. Not bad for my first time with the mark at the track. I was tring to brake 14, and I am sure I could have if it were a bit cooler. Next NHRA Street Legal Drags are in December so I will have to run it again and see if the times improve.

With good weather and a good tune 14's are easy. Mine turned a 14.6 at over 97 stock in decent weather.

My track requires mufflers. They won't check unless the car is really loud though.

It's a noise ordinance thing. Basically, a bunch of idiots built their houses too close to a racetrack (or too close to land that was zoned to allow a racetrack) and bisched to thier local goverment.... and then the local government tells the racetrack owners that the cars must run mufflers.

Mine are missing too, they didn't even check. I saw it on the website that they say you need to have mufflers but I decided to chance it. You should come out for the December run, I might be going.

sweet, would be fun to do some grudge matching against you. I think the next one is on Dec. 2. Hope you can make it!
