slipperyslope October 28th, 2006, 02:46 PM looks real good!
I am a newbie, just picked up an 03 yesterday, how do you know when it is an ultimate?
Navigatorboyz October 28th, 2006, 04:06 PM You know it's an ultimate when it has the powered running boards, powered liftgate, 2nd row center storage compartment(option), DVD entertainment system, GPS navigation system, power folding seats, and 6 disc CD changer. I have an 03' ultimate white navigator all chromed out, bought a pair of 22s (pretty expensive). I got all of the chrome you got on urs on mine too.
lexmarkz00 October 28th, 2006, 04:56 PM Am I the only one that thinks all those extra accessories (chrome, gas tank cap, plastic, spoiler, etc.) make the car look cheap? :[
And that isn't an Ultimate, seeing as how you're lacking power running boards.
slipperyslope October 28th, 2006, 05:50 PM I have everything listed but the navigation system.
to each his own with the exterior chrome, if all of our vehicles looked the same it would be boring!
Navigatorboyz October 28th, 2006, 08:07 PM I know, his isn't an ultimate navigator, I have an Ultimate that has all and every option avalible for the navigator. You should post some pics of your interior.
enskanker October 29th, 2006, 05:19 AM Power Lift gate,
Navigation,
6 CD changer,
DVD,
Moonroof,
Power rear seats
No power running boards, and I don't think that an Ultimate
had to have the PRB's. This was sold to me by the dealer
as an ultimate. This is an early '03.
As for the exterior stuff...I did the mono look on my '98 and the change to the
Chrome look is classy...IMHO.
To each his own.
I had problems with the air cooled seats and by replacing the drivers cushion and a new leather seat cover, the seat works much better and looks like new.

I think your nav looks great, do you like the fitment of the chrome door handle surrounds, I was going to order them?
enskanker October 29th, 2006, 06:49 AM The Putco Chrome Handle surrounds fit perfectly.
With todays CAD designs to fit items like this, you'll will think its an OEM item.

Lincoln Luebbe October 29th, 2006, 05:02 PM Guys, the difference between an luxury and an ultimate is the HID lamps, power liftgate, heated/cooled seats on a 2003. Moonroof became part of the ultimate package in 2004. Everything else were optional including power running boards. They are still an option on the 2007's.

So, is there a certain number in the serial number or a specific labeling that makes some an ultimate.
lexmarkz00 October 30th, 2006, 10:15 AM The sticker will specify whether or not it's an "Ultimate."
enskanker October 30th, 2006, 02:20 PM OK, for the '03 model year...the early print Sales piece breaks it down like this
Models Trim Levels
Navigator Standard
For Navigator Premium : all Standard stuff plus:
Advance Trac, Heated/Cooled Seats
For Navigator Ultimate : all Standard and Premium stuff Plus:
HID Headlamps, Power Liftgate, 3rd Row power folding Seats
Available OPTIONAL Equipment ..... Moonroof, Navigation System w/ 6 CD changer and Audiophile Sound System., Power Deployable Running Boards, 2nd Row Split Seats, Premium AM/FM cassettew/2nd row controls, REAR SEAT overhead DVD Sytem, 18" Chrome Wheels, w/ different tire size choices, Tire pressure monitoring System, Power 3rd row Seat
Obviously They could be ordered various ways, but yep, HID headlamps, and Power liftgate means ultimate.
slipperyslope October 30th, 2006, 06:33 PM thanks for the info, I bought my navigator used, so I didn't see the sticker.
enskanker October 31st, 2006, 09:18 AM Ebay usually has somebody selling the old sales brochures. I picked up the .03 for $8 - $10 and thats what I used to check the info.

yeah the gas tank cap looks mexican, the fender stainless steel trim looks mexican, the factory spoiler looks good, the putco taillight looks agressive...the bug shield looks like an old man's navi and the extra emblems and vynal letters look mexican. the chrome tow hooks i got on ebay are the coolest! No offense meant by looking mexican....it's just that you can always tell a mexican's car when you see one....am i right or am i right?
enskanker November 11th, 2006, 06:03 AM .....but I am Mexican:D
slipperyslope November 11th, 2006, 07:36 PM    .....but I am Mexican:D your car looks sweet!!

WaynesNside January 26th, 2007, 03:43 PM got mine here.... hope this helps! http://superbrightleds.com/1157.htm
Exactly what model bulb is it??? 13???? Is it these T13? http://superbrightleds.com/mini-wedge.html Will it make your lights blink fast??
Do your thing man it's your SUV...I used to wonder about the Ultimate too, but I know we have one....HIDS and power options were a must and we also got the moonroof. Navigation is pretty much the only thing we didn't get with ours.
I would like to get the chrome tow hooks but that' about it for trim.
enskanker January 28th, 2007, 07:21 AM Yeah, I can't figure which ones he bought either...
I don't see any "13 LED" bulbs. I have some now from a local parts store but they are no brighter than the filament bulbs that came stock.
Asharillc .....HELP!!
kay3klub April 27th, 2007, 02:31 PM That's correct the power running boards is a feature u can leave off on the Ultimate. Options u can't leave off and no doubt tells u if u have a Ultimate model is the Power lift gate and 3rd row powers folding seat. The running board, moonroof, Nav system and 2nd row captains chairs w/ the center cup holders are u don't have to have if u want to save a little money.
buddylee June 13th, 2007, 08:52 AM .....but I am Mexican:D

KD00LS July 9th, 2007, 08:51 PM It's not bad looking for say... not my exact tastes. Definately a clean car, just wish the chrome pieces were a little more tasteful. It slightly reminds me of how people with H2's go about and buy every single chrome add on such as ladders and stuff. If you took a couple pieces away I bet it'd be a killer ride.
