Strange, strange, strange...

Well this has been a sort of on going problem i brushed aside but it just came back up. About a month ago i tried to start my car and it cranked, then shut off, my hazzards flashed and then my alarm started going off. My gauge cluster (tach and speedo) has also been going all the way to the other side and back every time i start the car. Now it did it again today. After i turn off everything inside and waiting a little it started up. I went to autozone and got the alternator and battery load tested, and they said they were fine. Could this be a key fob problem? any ideas? This is confusing.

your battery is dying or you have a poor connection at the battery. this has happened to a ton of people on this forum.

It could still be the battery (sometimes a dying battery will still test OK; that's been noted around here before), but I would bet on a bad/loose connection at the battery. Jay (LincolnTech38) has also mentioned the cable connection points at the driver's and passenger's side footwells, and there's a big connection in the spare wheel well. Just start checking them and make sure they're all tight.

From all of the experiences and things that have been said by other LS owners is that it is the tell tale sign that the battery is either going dead or you have a loose connection. I'd say that it is the battery dying.

Battery. Although, I did replace mine last year and if the car sits for more than two days, it will need to be jump-started.
