We'll, let's have at it. What do you guys (and gals) think. Will it be Bush or Kerry to lead our great nation thru the turmoil of the next 4 years, maybe even having to deal with the first nuclear attack in 60 years?

It truly scares me to think that it might even be close.

Well - I didnt like GH Bush

4 years ago, I liked his son, GW bush even less.

Now - looking back 4 years ago, I wish I had volunterred for the Gore campaign.

IMO -- GW is walking through a cloud. Hethinks he can jsut do whatever he chooses with impunity. IN the world theatre, you cant do that. Our economy is a mess. Most of the world either hates us, fears us or criticizes our 'bully' diplomacy.

ALl in all, you can say im not happy. At this point, I would vote for Homer Simpson before GW.

For our country's sake, it had better be President Bush. In South Texas, we have had a reputation for allowing dead people and illegals (Box 13--LBJ) the opportunity to vote. I will vote as many times as I can and vote for all of my deceased relatives to make sure our president will be re-elected!!!

And you think Chicago is different? :)

No, I'd say Chicago has been known to partake in the same techniques. Y'all might even be better than us!!! Let's see...Daley, Kennedy, ???

Well, as an outsider looking in from Australia......Please vote Bush back IN!!! You put a Democrate in and you'll end up with a country like ours where the government is totally out of control. Hell, we have a conservative govt now and its still out of control.

Dont believe me how bad a government can get...I'll happily provide you with example that will stun you.

When Bush came into office, there was no deficit -- now - GW has us 7 TRILLION in the hole.

All of the jobs data is TERRIBLE -- Job growth is the worst its been in 25 years and is a negative in most places;

If that isnt government out of control, I dont know what is. GW May or may not be doing a good job in re foreign affairs, terrorism, etc...thats a different discussion.... But the fact is that where dollars and cents are concerned, the current administration has not performed well at all. Interestingly enough, if you look at the gob growth numbers, Reagan did great, so did clinton. GHW Bush did 'so/so' and GW Bush has done terrible.

Cant argue with the numbers.

"When Bush came into office, there was no deficit -- now - GW has us 7 TRILLION in the hole."

I feel compelled to respond to this misinformation. The country was almost 6 trillion in the hole in 2000, before Bush. And although there was talk of a budget surplus in the late 90's, it never materialized in reducing the deficit. What happened to the economy immediately after 9-11-01 was not any one persons fault. Leaving politics aside, I do know that wars cost money. I'm just glad to see the economy somewhat stable again. My retirement is finally getting back to where it was 4 years ago. Now whether or not an economic downfall will occur due to the tremendous debt can be debated. But one thing's for sure, it was both democratic and republican presidents that ran up the debt.

But I can argue with the reasons. Again, the economic impact directly related to 9-11 is the main culprit here. Hello, does anybody remember that? Sorry for the sarcasm, but give me a break. If you like Kerry, vote for him, but don't expect a reduction in the deficit as a result of his policy. Good economic times and climates will dictate that. And if we have another major terrorist attack of some kind, God help us all.
