I just bought a 2001 Lincoln LS6, and have a question.

I want to know how to use the auto headlamps, but am not sure how. Whenever I turn the headlamp switch into the auto section my highbeams go on.
Am I doing something wrong or is something messed up with my lights/wiring, etc.???
Please, also provide what I am actually supposed to do if possible.

Your turn the knob to the left, 1 position past the OFF position. If the high beams are on then you need to pull the turn signal arm towards you to turn them off. If you pull out on the headlamp knob it will also turn the fog lights on, maybe that's why you think your highs are on?

Most cars come with a manual... makes for interesting reading in such cases :rolleyes:

I read the manual and did not help me with my specific problem, but I think I now have it figured out.
