Get some carb cleaner or primer/starter and spray in into the throttle body. Make sure your fuel pump is running when you have the key on (it's possible you burned it out if you tried to run it without fuel for too long). pokeeto2 October 7th, 2006, 11:19 PM In most cases, it's not a great idea to use a car until it shutts off because it's bone dry of gas. Sometimes that last drop might contain particals or garbage that can clogg up things. U're driving an 87 car and if it has the original fuel pump, then be glad that it's lasted as long as it did, in other words, this event killed the remaining life of the pump. To see if it still works, put the key in the on position and just listen if u can here the pump. If it's not the pump then and it's just dirt then add a good fuel additive, that might clear and lubricate things up. | ||||
