how do u change these? I'm about to rip tha suckers out!!! LOL help

I just replaced my license plate lights and in order to get at them you need to open the trunk and take off all of those black clips on the trunk liner on the inside of the trunk lid. Once you take those off remove the liner and you should then be able to see what to do to get your fingers in there.

I think you're describing the procedure for replacing the backup lights, not the license plate lights. The plate lights pop out after you loosen a plastic screw. The bulbs are easy to replace.
