I need to get rid of my 2001 Lincoln LS V8.
The motor spun a bearing on the #1 cylinder. The motor & transmission are out of the car. Was looking a putting a salvage yard motor in it but relized that I will spend about the same amount of money on a motor and the lose of a trade of CarMax deal compared to just selling the thing as is.
KBB on a good / running Ls is $14,500. I owe about 11,300 on the car and can stand to lose about $1500 - $2000 to get ride of it.
If somebody wants it they can have it for $9500, I will negotiate delivery cost within the south east.

2006 taxes have just been paid.

Other details:
2001 Lincoln LS
65Kish miles
Black ext
Black leather int with wood grain accents
new 245/45/16 Fusion ZRi tires.
Pioneer head unit not sure about the rest of the system.

Just let me know I can get any type of picture you want if it will help with the deal.
shoot me a PM or call at 770-235-3607
Thanks
Shane

If you are trying to sell an ls with a bad bearing, i'm afraid youll be lucky to get 6000 for it. for an 01 with a good motor youll be lucky to get 9500 for it. I think you should fix it and keep it for a while longer and pay some of it off. not trying to be an @ss, but many people on here would agree.

What kind of car are you going to get at CarMax?

I work at one as a sales counsultant, and Ill tell you right off- if there is a problem with the engine, they are going to hit you- hard- on the appraisal value.
