Calabrio September 3rd, 2006, 03:53 PM 80K? Hell, that's the break-in period on that engine.
mespock September 3rd, 2006, 04:00 PM $hit 80K is like brand new just off the lot.
You better take it in for it's new car inspection...
The last car I had with 80K on it was my 85 Mark VII.
Tell us when you hit 100K or 200K... LOL
devilchild September 3rd, 2006, 04:13 PM Tell us when you hit 100K or 200K... LOL

04SSHD September 3rd, 2006, 05:23 PM damn, I am about 300 from 99K...
Staffamerica74 September 3rd, 2006, 05:35 PM Im at 152,000 thinking about selling mine to buy my friends that has 110k on it. my concern with his car is that the coolant is dissappearing (i think the radiator has a leak) and that the trans doesnt work.
Lincolns Own September 3rd, 2006, 09:10 PM this was our baby before we traded it in :(

i do miss the '94. sunroof, cell phone. but the '98 is so classy looking. and those arnt the stock wheels, the old man who owned it put those on because the chrome flaked off. the '94 had 128k miles and the '98 has 93k.
devilchild September 3rd, 2006, 09:17 PM this was our baby before we traded it in
yeah.. i was thinking about selling mine and getting a 96 lsc.. but i love it soo much i dont wanna get rid of it.. so i might have to buy a second mark viii.. the only thing better than a mark viii.. is 2 mark viii's
Lincolns Own September 3rd, 2006, 09:23 PM yeh, my mom gave me the chance to buy the '94 before she traded it. there was a lot of things wrong with it, some little, some big. i decided not to take it but now i kinda wished i had.
Calabrio September 3rd, 2006, 09:37 PM I've mentioned this before, I'm at 190k.
I've considered getting a newer one, but what's the point? I've done all the tough stuff and maintenance already, if I get one with 110k, I'll have to start all over.
ONEBADMK8 September 3rd, 2006, 11:40 PM Nice Jim. I just cant believe when I took that car to the shop last year how bad that trans felt and it's still going!!
rmac694203 September 4th, 2006, 12:23 AM my trans was bad when I bought it and its still going 16k later.

yah.. its weird.. it seems to feel better and better .. plus i had a buddy check it out and he said shift positioning sensor(?) needs to be replaced.. and other than that it felt strong.. plus it had been sitting for a while when i got it.. maybe it just needed a workout

dont mean to nit-pick but arnt those the wrong badges in the rear? maby its been hit in the rear, or maby its a 97 thing(mines a 98) but shouldent they look like this
pepperman September 4th, 2006, 12:51 PM Sharp Eye Chicken.
segxr7 September 4th, 2006, 02:27 PM I was gonna say the same thing about the badges, they appear to be off of a Gen1. Maybe early 97's used the 96 badging? It could've been rear-ended, but I'd think the newer badges would be far easier to find. I've only ever seen two 95-96 LSC's in person, but it seems like practically every 97-98 I see is an LSC.
Anyway, my Mark just rolled over 76k. That's nothing for these cars!
Lincolns Own September 4th, 2006, 08:43 PM ahh that is right. o well, the dealership is ordering a new panel because the back doesnt light up and hopefully it will come with correct badges. i dunno if its suppost to be different or not. its a '98 tho. wierd.

LSCGODDESS98 September 5th, 2006, 06:21 PM oops
mespock September 5th, 2006, 06:35 PM All I can say is Miles don't scare me with these cars...
Here's a thought... After 130K miles many parts that wear out may have been replaced... you may find the cars in better shape than many under 100K

94m5 September 5th, 2006, 09:50 PM I love mine. I've alwyas said a 150K VIII is better than a <100K. Stuff that is prone to wearing out has done so, and won't need to be touched for a while.
Here are my babies
