Bush did not vote to cut our pay, there was a special bonus that's been in effect, which only raises our Family separation pay, from 100 a month to 250 a month, this was a special due to the amount of troops who were deployed over 90 days. When this special pay benefit was signed into action, it was well known to us that it would be repealed, and that was supposed to have happened on Oct 1st,( I dont think it was repealed). So, he gave us a benefit and told us it would only last so long. Anything extra is great. And to help clarify, the money that Kerry voted against for the war was also going to be used to help pay us and to armor our vehicles. So, Kerry actually screwed us. And, be careful writing about assasination, because you can get in deep trouble for that. BELIEVE ME, YOUR POST HAS BEEN READ. I am 'Big Brother', and the Secret Service takes those things pretty seriously. I dont wanna see anyone go to jail.

Before you go off the deep end about troops pay, ask one. Bush also voted in the largest pay raise for the military in over 40 years.... No one mentions that Bill Clinton for 8 years denied us more than the mandatory 3.4% Cost of living raise. Bush gave us over 7%. And as anyone knows, even if we had all the money we wanted, the vehicles dont put on the armor plate, it takes along time to armor 1 truck, imagine how many there are out there. I was a HMMWV (hummer) Mech for 4 years.

We're not as far apart as you think. I know you want to do the right thing. I want to do the right thing at the right time. Now is not the time for isolating ourselves. Now is the time to build up our defenses which includes mending some international fences.

You'll have to admit that 9/11 happened on GWB's watch and the misinformation filtered through people that he appointed.
