I'll will also change my rear shocks while I'm at it. I'm going to do the free method on the shock mounts.. T-Bird shocks all the way... Save the extra cash. my95mark8 August 27th, 2006, 09:27 AM how would i reused my old ones for free? i have looked at the ones that i have yet Take them out, remove the rubber from the mount, usually by burning it out, use the rubber bushings included with your new shocks.... it will work good as new. Many of us here have done this. If you do a search for shock mounts you will find an old post about this with pictures. ponytail john August 27th, 2006, 09:31 AM RicksquickVlll, When you take out your rear shocks, take the mounts off and either cut most of the rubber off and then torch the rest of the rubber off and just reuse the metal part, pretty simple and they work just as good as the ones you pay like $40.00 for. mespock August 27th, 2006, 10:19 AM Take them out, remove the rubber from the mount, usually by burning it out, use the rubber bushings included with your new shocks.... it will work good as new.
